Ashley L. Camhi, Ph.D. is an environmental economist who is currently the Senior Program Manager for the LEAF Coalition at Amazon. Prior to working at Amazon, Ashley was the Founder and Executive Director of the Arizona Sustainability Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing innovative cutting edge strategies in sustainability in vulnerable communities across Arizona. Ashley completed Ph.D. in Biology & Society at Arizona State University, where her research focused on the impact of the United States Conservation Reserve Program on water quality in Iowa as well as economic incentives for conservation strategies. Dr. Camhi has spent over 15 years working in Latin America and the Caribbean designing and implementing market based mechanisms for conservation at both the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank. Ashley has her masters in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and her bachelors in Environmental Studies at Vassar College. Outside of work, Ashley is an avid hiker and backpacker and is thoroughly enjoying all of the nature that Washington has to offer since moving here in 2021. She currently lives in Seattle with her two rescue dogs.
