Annalee Luhman
Annalee has a long-standing career in public and civic leadership and inclusion efforts, most recently retiring from nearly two decades at the Port of Seattle as a senior manager in talent and leader development. Her community contributions include service on the Audubon Washington Board of Directors, the Seattle CityClub Board of Directors, and being a founding board member of Leadership Eastside (LE) Community Leadership Training program. As the LE head of curriculum, Annalee spearheaded the design of its program and recruited the volunteer teaching faculty. Annalee holds a PhD in organizational communication and labor relations from the University of Washington. She grew up in a small, progressive town in northern British Columbia, to which she credits much of her interest in building a healthy community with a rich civic life by engaging diverse constituents, applying smart economics, and making connections to the natural world. Annalee lives with her husband Tom in downtown Bellevue, where they enjoy birding in their backyard and walking in nearby parks.
