Open space preservation is a high priority in the Park City area due to ongoing development pressure. This scenic stand of mature timber forest and mountain terrain forms the backdrop for the small community of Summit Park and offers spectacular views of the Snyderville Basin. Using funds from the federal Forest Legacy Program, TPL negotiated purchase of a conservation easement over 325 acres, which prohibits development on the property while keeping it in private ownership.  The  easement ensures that Summit Park's breathtaking scenery and outstanding recreational values are available for public enjoyment forever.
