Since 1994, The Trust for Public Land has worked with the City of Chattanooga, acquiring land and easements to create a large system of parks and greenways. In the south, a section winds along the creek corridor from Camp Jordan northward to the Tennessee River. With paved paths and boardwalks that overlook the forested creek bank, this scenic trail is perfect for walking, biking and enjoying nature close to home. Conveniently located trailheads provide parking and easy access, with boat ramps that make it easy to slip a canoe or kayak right into the water. TPL is now working to connect the last missing segments that will complete the full 14-mile Greenway and connect with the Riverwalk.
