Jones Farm, St. Helena Island

The Jones Farm was once part of a much larger agricultural operation that produced some of the best tomatoes in the state of South Carolina. Over the years, the Jones Family divided and sold all their property except for the portion known as Jones Farm, which they converted into a commercial timber farm and a "U-pick" strawberry field. Thanks to TPL, the Jones Farm project is now part of a larger initiative to protect farmland on St. Helena Island and encourage the sustainability of the agricultural industry in the local Gullah Geechee community.
