Chisolm Plantation
Credit: Ed Funk
Chisolm Plantation includes nearly 3,500 acres of marshland and 550 upland acres of hardwood, palm and pine forests, hundreds of acres of freshwater wetlands and several undeveloped marsh islands. These natural resources create essential habitat for wildlife, local waterfowl, and migrating bird species. They also provide a buffer along the southern boundary of the ACE Basin, one of the most critical conservation initiatives in the nation, and protect 10 miles of picturesque viewscapes along the Whale Branch.
