13 Mile Woods Community Forest

With funding from the federal USDA Forest Legacy Program (FLP), the state Land and Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP), and private funds from locals, TPL helped create the 13 Mile Woods Community Forest, a working forest land along the Androscoggin River in Errol, NH and adjacent to the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge. read more »

Albany Town Forest

The Town of Albany worked with The Trust for Public Land to create a 300-acre town forest on the eastern edge of the White Mountain National Forest. read more »

Barre Town Forest

Over 100 years ago, Millstone Hill was the site of more than 75 small independent quarry operations that fostered the town of Barre’s growth and prosperity in the 19th century. read more »

Brushwood Community Forest, VT

Brushwood Community Forest

TPL helped establish the Brushwood Community Forest in the Upper Connecticut River Valley, connecting the Fairlee and Bradford Municipal Forests and offering opportunities for sustainable timber harvesting, recreation, and providing significant wildlife habitat and watershed protection. read more »

LaPlatte Headwaters

The property, known as Bissonette Farm, contains the headwaters of the LaPlatte River, which feeds into Lake Champlain and serves as a drinking water supply for approximately 68,000 people. read more »

Lemington Community Forest

TPL helped the town of Lemington acquire property for a community forest atop Monadnock Mountain in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom from International Paper Realty Corporation using federal Forest Legacy Program funds. read more »

Mollidgewock Brook

In late 2009, The Trust for Public Land and partners permanently protected more than 5,000 acres of forest, wildlife habitat, and recreational lands in northern New Hampshire including 3,100 acres of the Mollidgewock Brook lands. read more »

Randolph Community Forest / Pond of Safety
