This National Wild and Scenic River in Ottawa National Forest on the extreme western end of Michigan's Upper Peninsula offers abundant opportunities for trout fishing, hiking, and canoeing. read more »

Chippewa Flowage, WI

Chippewa Flowage

For over two years, TPL worked with local, state, federal, and tribal interests and many conservation and sportsman groups to place a working-forest conservation easement on 18,179 acres of timber lands in the Chippewa Flowage. read more »

Clover Woods

Totally surrounded by the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, this 80-acre Bayfield County property was one of the few remaining privately held lands within the national forest. read more »

Dead Lake

For years, a battle raged between local conservation-minded landowners and would-be developers of over 260 acres of Dead Lake shoreline. Proposed development included 151 residential housing units, a general store, a restaurant, two swimming pools, a marina, and mooring facilities. read more »

Forest Lodge

In 1999, Forest Lodge, a model of ecological stewardship, was handed down through three generations and donated to The Trust for Public Land to ensure its protection and its future use as a hands-on Environmental Center. read more »
