Glenville Woods
TPL worked with the New York town of Greenburg, Westchester County, and the Open Space Institute to protect Glenville Woods as a nature preserve that is part of a 580-acre strip of unbroken forest enhancing access to existing trails including the North County Trailway and the Tarrytown Lakes Trail. read more »Gunning Island

The 2.03-acre Hoboken Cove parcel on the Hudson River was purchased as part of a planned 10-acre park on the border of Hoboken and Weehawken, two cities that in desperate need of outdoor recreational space following rapid and intense growth. read more »Jamaica Bay Shoreline Park
TPL worked with partners including New York City Audubon to conserve an acre of Jamaica Bay Shoreline in Queens with funding authorized by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for their Hudson-Raritan Estuary Resources Program, creating public access to the waterfront and space that will serve more than 2,400 community members and provide opportunities for fishing, picnicking, and paddling. read more »Milton Riverfront Park
Marlborough, New York lacked public access to the Hudson River until TPL helped the town acquire Milton Riverfront Park, a former industrial property in the neighboring hamlet of Milton that had been used for petroleum storage, renovate the site for use as a park adjacent to the town's Milton-on-Hudson Train Station Park with the help of the town, Scenic Hudson, New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Land Trust Alliance. read more »Mount Loretto
New York state asked TPL to help conserve a small patch of woods known as Butler Manor on Staten Island's southwestern shore and add the land to the Mount Loretto Unique Area, keeping intact over 600 acres of unbroken and ecologically diverse parkland near New York City's waterfront. read more »NY East River Greenprint
In 2003, TPL joined local groups, including the Greenpoint Waterfront Association for Parks & Planning, to conduct open space planning, and produce a greenprint for New York's East River. read more »South Brother Island
TPL helped South Brother Island is a natural habitat for herons and other water birds between the South Bronx, Queens, and Riker's and Randall's Islands, which joined North Brother as a sanctuary run by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. read more »
