Ballam Farm

Barton Creek Greenbelt

Between 1992 and 1999 TPL has helped conserve many acres of the Barton Creek greenbelt, which begins at Barton Springs, near Austin, Texas, creating a large metropolitan park. read more »

Bayou Teche

TPL helped create the Bayou Teche National Wildlife Refuge in Louisiana, for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the forest land is important for climate change mitigation and provides habitat for black bear habitat and other species. read more »

Bear Canyon

TPL added one mile of trail to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail in a heavily used area near Sandy City. Protecting the Bear Canyon property opens the trail to more people, protects local drinking water, and extends the expanse of the nearby national forest. read more »

Bear Creek Ranch

In 2010, TPL, together with the U.S. Forest Service, protected Bear Creek Ranch, one of the largest inholdings in Gila National Forest. read more »

Bear River Massacre Site

In January, 1863, U.S. volunteer soldiers attacked the winter camp of the Northwestern Band of Shoshone Nation, slaughtering as many as 350 men, women, and children in what is believed to be the largest massacre of Native American people in U.S. history. read more »
