From the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, where we protected Santos Farm, to Valley Forge National Park, to which we added 43 acres, The Trust for Public Land's work is helping Pennsylvanians protect the places they love. Drawing on our expertise in conservation funding, we've helped research, design, and pass bond measures at the state, county and local levels generating millions to support new parks and greenways in Pennsylvania.
Today, our work focuses on addressing the need for green space in Philadelphia's underserved neighborhoods, where one in eight residents does not have access to a nearby park or green space. In an ambitious public-private partnership, our Parks for People-Philadelphia program aims to convert neglected schoolyards and recreation centers into vribrant, close-to-home, community spaces. We are committed to creating parks and playgrounds that will transform the city’s landscape and the lives of its residents.
