It's been a remarkable two years for The Trust for Public Land-Ohio—and supporters like you made it possible.

Since 2010, we've completed 16 public park purchases and added more than 580 acres to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, including land at the renowned Blossom Music Center. The dream of a new Rivergate Park along the Cuyahoga River became a reality with the purchase of seven acres of riverfront land in Cleveland: the park site is the city's first public access to the Cuyahoga River for healthy, human-powered recreation like rowing, kayaking, and canoeing.

In this season of giving thanks, we at TPL are grateful for your commitment to protecting Ohio's natural resources for everyone to enjoy. We hope you'll share in our latest successes by visiting one of the parks featured below.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park

The forest around Blossom Music Center will be the 24th property conserved by TPL for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Visitors can choose from a diverse array of activities: whether you prefer attending ranger-guided programs or exploring the park on your own, you'll find something to your liking. Take a hike, ride the scenic railroad, explore the visitor centers, attend a concert, or bike the Towpath Trail.

Rivergate Park

Check the website for directions and rowing programs for adults and youth. Additional opportunities for kayaking at Rivergate Park are offered through Cleveland Metroparks Institute of the Great Outdoors.

Middle Bass Island East Point Preserve

A treasure of the Lake Erie Islands, this 7.8-acre preserve is located near the tip of Middle Bass Island's northeastern peninsula. The site is managed as a nature preserve and a park for launching kayaks and canoes. Other recreational activities include fishing, hiking, and birdwatching. No motorized vehicles or bicycles are allowed.

Wingfoot Lake State Park

Located just minutes from Akron, Wingfoot Lake is an easy escape from the city. TPL helped establish this state park in 2009—and marked the addition of a final 20 acres this summer. Activities include sledding, trails, fishing and boating—boat rentals are available.
