The Timberman Ridge Story

Public green space near Hamilton, Ohio—about 30 miles north of Cincinnati—grew by 254 acres when TPL helped add a new natural area to an existing 82-acre property in 2012, in partnership with MetroParks of Butler County.

Mostly former farmland, Timberman Ridge supports grasslands, prairie, woodlands, a stream corridor, bottomland floodplain, and cold water springs. Access to the ridge offers visitors sweeping scenic views.

Although the City of Hamilton has other local parks, this expansive natural area is a destination for residents, offering hiking paths and nature-viewing platforms for birders, botanists, and other nature enthusiasts to enjoy for generations to come.
