In Ohio, The Trust for Public Land is working to create great parks and natural areas-and make the ones we have better—by creating trails and greenways to strengthen our connections to nature, recreation, and each other. Building trails and greenways also offers transportation alternatives that green our cities and improve community health. We combine the strength of our longstanding local partnerships with the resources of a national organization to create new parks and trails where they're needed most.
Over the past 40 years, The Trust for Public Land has protected both wilderness and urban parks—from Lake Erie shorefront to the Towpath Trail along the Cuyahoga River and dozens of properties added to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Our efforts in places like Wayne National Forest and Glen Helen Preserve have helped safeguard the state's natural, recreational, cultural, and agricultural resources for generations to come.
