Rogers Bridge, once a site planned for 32 residential homes, is now a planned addition to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Farmed for nearly 300 years by the Rogers family, the property sits at the foot of the historic trestle-style Rogers Bridge, which, once restored, will become the first bike/pedestrian river crossing of its kind to link Fulton and Gwinnett Counties.

In 2011, TPL conveyed the 44-acre Rogers Bridge property to the National Park Service (NPS), where it will be open to the public to enjoy its river banks, trails and vistas. A mix of federal Land and Water Conservation Funds and private funds made protection of Rogers Bridge possible. At closing, TPL donated half (22 acres) of the property to the NPS.
