Miami River Greenway
Credit: Michael Wray
In the once polluted and uninviting shoreline of the Miami River, The Trust for Public Land saw an opportunity to connect communities to the water—and each other. The Miami River Greenway begins at the 2,000-year-old Miami Circle archeological site, a legacy of Florida's Tequesta Indian heritage. Once completed, the greenway's parks, playgrounds, and pathways will be perfect for strolling, cycling, or taking in the rhythm of the river—welcome progress toward a more livable city.
