Our work in Los Angeles county's urban communities centers around creating and improving parks, installing Fitness Zones and championing Green Alleys. In some of the city's most densely populated, park poor neighborhoods, TPL is transforming run-down sites and old alleys into green places people use and treasure. Whether we're creating a new park, managing a complete makeover, or simply installing outdoor gym equipment, TPL’s work is inspired by input from the locals and shaped by the needs of the community.  We're currently working on projects in the City of Los Angeles, where we are creating a green corridor along the Los Angeles River, and in several smaller cities throughout the county. Current projects include:

Bicentennial Park

Located in the city of Hawthorne, Bicentennial Park is a proposed park renovation that will transform unused and run-down tennis courts into a lively neighborhood park. read more »

Carlton Way Pocket Park

In an underserved Los Angeles neighborhood where no green or public spaces exist within a half-mile radius, we're creating a .2-acre park on an abandoned lot that has been vacant since the mid-1990s. read more »

Colden Avenue Pocket Park

Colden Avenue Pocket Park could provide much-needed open space for this densely populated neighborhood of South Los Angeles. read more »

Larch Avenue Park

In 2011, the City of Lawndale purchased a 1.5 acre vacant lot to develop Larch Avenue Park as an additional recreation space for its many residents. read more »
