Three Bridges Oak Preserve

In May 2011, The Trust for Public Land helped the town of Atascadero in San Luis Obispo County acquire a new park replete with a popular swimming hole and network of trails connecting to the Los Padres National Forest and, ultimately, the Pacific Ocean. The 102-acres of blue oak woodland and verdant meadows hosts 3/4 miles of Atascadero Creek, habitat for threatened Steelhead trout migrating 150 miles upstream from Monterey Bay. Funding was provided by the California Department of Transportation and the California Natural Resources Agency.
