The Trust for Public Land - Brotherhood Park, Mendenhall Valley

Shortcut Navigation:

Brotherhood Park, Mendenhall Valley

On the west side of Juneau's glacier-fed Mendenhall River in the Mendenhall Valley, TPL helped protect 10.5 acres slated for development. Adjacent to Brotherhood Park, the property features a lush meadow and spectacular views of the glacier, and borders the Kaxdigoowu Heen Dei Trail, a popular route for hikers, runners, and cyclists. In 2003, TPL helped add this area to the park using money from the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund. In addition to becoming part of the signature park, the site will become the future home of the Juneau Raptor Center/Alaska Coastal Wildlife Center.
