Greenprinting
The Trust for Public Land's Greenprinting service helps communities make informed decisions about land conservation, recreation priorities, and balanced growth. Using state-of-the-art computer models created with Geographic Information System (GIS) software, TPL creates interactive maps that highlight and prioritize key areas for protection. A Greenprint engages local residents in a thoughtful, place-based planning exercise, focusing on short-term actions and long-term vision to guide future conservation purchases of land and easements.
This short video describes the Greenprinting process at work in Garfield County, Colorado.
