Developing and Evaluating Conservation Programs
Securing public funding for conservation programs is one step toward achieving a community's conservation goals. The critical next step is establishing the policies and procedures needed to attain those goals in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The Trust for Public Land helps local governments develop new land conservation programs and evaluate the effectiveness of existing ones. Working with agency staff, elected officials, and community leaders, TPL provides a framework for implementing community land protection objectives, together with the tools and templates needed to create an effective and efficient program.
