McKee Botanical Garden

McKinley Elementary School

For years, the more than 1,000 students at McKinley Elementary School in Newark's Central Ward, had nothing but a virtual wasteland of asphalt for a playground. The new two-acre park that opened in 2003 includes a track, basketball court, grass playing field, swings and play equipment that is available to students and the community. read more »

Mesilla Valley Bosque Park

In 2005, TPL secured 150 acres of private land at the northern boundary of this 400-acre state park near the Río Grande that became the park's education center. read more »

Miami River Greenway

The Miami Greenway's 5.5 miles of parks, playgrounds and pathways, once complete, will be perfect for strolling, cycling, or taking in the rhythm of the river. read more »

Mickey Markey Park

The Trust for Public Land is working in partnership with the New Orleans Recreation Department Commission and the Bywater Neighborhood Association to renovate this neighborhood park. read more »

Mildred Helms Park

In 2002, the community organized to clean up and reclaim this park. Working with neighbors, the city, the school, and the broader community, TPL raised funds for park reconstruction and worked with students, teachers, and area residents to design a new park, which re-opened in the fall of 2005. read more »

Mill Creek

Working with Salt Lake County, The Trust for Public Land protected 45 acres at the mouth of Millcreek Canyon, one of the most popular destinations for residents to hike, mountain bike, and explore. read more »

Miller's Landing

A symbol of Bend's history, Miller's Landing was the original lumberyard for the Brooks-Scanlon mill. It was protected in 2010 and will be integrated into the community park river system as part of the popular Deschutes River Trail. read more »

Milton Riverfront Park

Marlborough, New York lacked public access to the Hudson River until TPL helped the town acquire Milton Riverfront Park, a former industrial property in the neighboring hamlet of Milton that had been used for petroleum storage, renovate the site for use as a park adjacent to the town's Milton-on-Hudson Train Station Park with the help of the town, Scenic Hudson, New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation (OPRHP), New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Land Trust Alliance. read more »
