Vaughn Randolph Fauria
Vaughn Fauria is the Executive Director and President of NewCorp, Inc., a business financing and technical assistance center. Under her leadership NewCorp was designated a Department of the United States Treasury Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and shortly thereafter the distinction of becoming the SBA Micro Lender for the State of Louisiana. NewCorp has provided over $20 million in loans to small businesses and countless hours of business coaching. These loans in concert with the technical assistance afforded small businesses contribute to the greater economic growth and well-being of our region and spur further development and investment, while also creating wealth and opportunities for traditionally underserved communities. As recognition of her many efforts, she was the recipient of The National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc most prestigious award, The Acme Award in 2011; The first annual New Orleans Business Alliance Business Impact Award in 2012 and, again, in 2012 Ms. Fauria was the recipient of The Business Leadership Award from The (National) Louisiana Minority Suppliers Development Council The Leadership Award for its impact on small business.
Ms. Fauria has a very diverse professional and educational background. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from the University of New Orleans and a Master's degree in Social Welfare Planning, Research and Administration from State University of New York, Stony Brook. However, Mrs. Fauria's professional career has primarily been in the field of business, finance, marketing and community advocacy. She has over twenty-five years of professional success and development at a variety of respected and established businesses and organizations such as Xerox Corporation and Stony Brook Foundation (affiliated with State University of New York, Stony Brook), as well as independent marketing and consulting work. Mrs. Fauria is a certified a Master Business Coach and a certified Life Coach.
