Tim Wirth, Bay Area Program Director

Tim Wirth has been a member of TPL's project staff since 1993. During his tenure at TPL, he has protected more than 10,000 acres of land for the public to enjoy as urban parks, recreation areas, greenways, historic landscapes and wilderness areas. Prior to joining TPL's Western Regional Office in 1998, he worked for TPL in Austin, Texas and Santa Fe, New Mexico. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from The Colorado College and pursued graduate studies in Geography at The University of Texas at Austin.

 

 
 
Jennifer Worth, Project Manager

A licensed landscape architect, Jennifer joined TPL in November of 2004 as project manager of the Parks for People—Bay Area Program. In this role, she manages projects from selection and contracting to initial design through construction. Working with communities and public agencies, she works to develop and improve parks and playgrounds that serve low-income communities lacking park resources.

Before joining The Trust for Public Land, Jen was with Moore Iacofano Goltsman (MIG) in Berkeley, where she managed projects, developed program documents, conceptual designs, and managed the development of construction documents. Her focus was on design of outdoor learning environments such as schools, zoos and parks, and curriculum development for environmental education. Prior to that she worked in Palo Alto, as designer and project manager for a variety of institutional, corporate, municipal and residential projects with an emphasis on community involvement.

Jen holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from UC Davis and received her Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum Studies from Stanford University.

Meghan Pecaut, Project Associate

Meghan joined TPL in December 2008 as a Project Associate for the Parks for People Bay Area Program. Meghan has her Bachelor's in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology. She has worked professionally in the field of Architecture and Landscape Architecture since 2003 and has volunteered in several children's programs, from rock climbing to outdoor adventure. A native of Northern California, Meghan understands the need for productive outdoor space in the urban environment. As part of TPL, Meghan is responsible for park design and development, community involvement, creation of construction documents, cost estimating and marketing.
