Land and Water Conservation Funding Conserves Places Americans Love

Federal support from the Land and Water Conservation Fund has been critical to the conservation of some of our nation's most treasured spaces. In a recently-released report, over 50 conservation organizations detail the benefits of land conservation, making a clear and compelling case for full funding of this federal program. Murphy Farm - Harpers Ferry National Park, West Virginia
This project protected the site of both a Civil War battle and a historic meeting of African-American leaders that led to the creation of the NAACP.

Congaree National Park, South Carolina
TPL has helped protect property in the Congaree National Park which holds the largest intact tract of old-growth bottomland hardwood forest in the United States, and features some of the tallest trees in the East.
