The Wenatchee watershed, nestled in the heart of Washington state, is a unique landscape stretching from the snow-covered ridges of the North Cascades to the shrub-steppe slopes of the Columbia River. Over the last ten years, more and more people have discovered the Wenatchee Valley as a wonderful place to live, work, play, and retire. The result - more people, more homes, more traffic, fewer orchards - is changing the special feel and style of the valley.
In September 2007, TPL completed a conservation vision plan for the watershed that shows the likely direction of growth and development in the coming years and makes strategic recommendations to maintain a healthy, balanced community, safeguarding the unique character of the area for long-time residents and newcomers alike.
