LA Park Needs Assessment Maps
TPL identifies potential park sites using advanced computer models created with Geographic Information System (GIS) software to analyze community data. We then overlay these GIS maps with census data such as proximity to a park, income, family size, age, education level and ethnicity. The end result, a Greenprint, helps communities make informed decisions about land conservation, galvanizes public support and directs resources to where they are most needed.
