Morris Island Now Protected

Thanks to many public entities, individuals, organizations, companies and foundations, Morris Island is now protected forever! The community will now finalize the planning process for the island, which will determine management of the historical and natural resources at this historic place.

In February 2006, The Trust for Public Land (TPL) began the effort to raise public and private funds to purchase Morris Island and protect it as a public space for future generations.
