Steven G. Horowitz
Steven G. Horowitz is a senior partner of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, based in their New York office. He joined the firm in 1987 and became partner in 1989. His practice focuses on a wide range of real estate finance, joint ventures, capital markets, mortgage finance and related transactions, and is widely published on the various aspects of real estate law. Prior to joining Cleary, Gottlieb, Mr. Horowitz was a partner at Hill & Barlow in Boston, Massachusetts where he specialized in real estate finance, land use and environmental law. Mr. Horowitz has also served as United States District Court Monitor, and as a law clerk, to the Honorable Joseph L. Tauro, both for the United States District Court, Boston Massachusetts. Mr. Horowitz received J.D. and M.P.P. degrees cum laude from Harvard Law School and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, where he was editor of the Harvard Law Review. He received an undergraduate degree from Yale University, magna cum laude. A resident of New York, Mr. Horowitz has three children.
