Semmes Walmsley

Semmes Walmsley is an insurance professional with Hughes Walmsley and Company, Inc. He is a New Orleans native and a graduate of Isidore Newman School. Semmes received a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science from the University of Mississippi. He has been a Trust for Public Land board member since 2011. Mr. Walmsley serves as the President-Elect for the Young Leadership Council, the oldest young professional organization in the country, created to develop leadership through community projects. He also serves on the local board of Breakthrough New Orleans, a national organization dedicated to helping at-risk students reach their full potential and placing them on the path towards college. Semmes led the effort to build the Garfield Community Garden in the Black Pearl neighborhood.
