Creating safe places to play is important to a healthy community, and necessary to curb the epidemic of obesity, particularly in children. Florida’s trails and greenways play a key role in providing venues for exercise and recreation. In Florida and across the country, TPL works together with CSX Railroad to turn abandoned rail beds into trails for walking, biking, skate boarding, and other outdoor activities. Florida's lush greenways also provide additional open green space for recreation and relaxation.
