TPL has preserved over 8 acres in the Murphy Crossing area. Two of the three acquired properties are for transit right-of-way. This part of Atlanta requires significant transformation to meet its potential, and the Beltline is playing a large role. Vacant warehouses are being demolished for public safety and to make way for redevelopment that will include low income housing, light industry, retail and office space, and a new community park. The Beltline is a 22-mile corridor of parks, trails, and transit encircling downtown.
