The 2.6-mile trail is a key piece in Chattanooga's grand plan to link Camp Jordan in East Ridge and the Tennessee Riverpark. Bywater's Markey Park to receive up to $600K to develop 'community gathering space'

The nonprofit Trust for Public Land, which has raised $2.6 million for a facelift to City Park's entrance, has chosen its next project: Markey Park in Bywater, which could get up to $600,000 in improvements. The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission voted unanimously Tuesday to approve an agreement with the San Francisco-based conservation group to oversee the work at the under-utilized playground. read more »
