Jeffrey Jahns is a partner and head of the real estate practice group at Seyfarth Shaw attorneys. He maintains an extensive practice in construction, development, government approval and finance of commercial, industrial and public projects. His clients include numerous REITs, real estate companies, and corporate users of real estate. In addition to taking an active role on a number of professional committees of the Chicago Bar Association and American Bar Association, Mr. Jahns serves on the boards of several civic and philanthropic organizations including the Chicago Architecture Foundation and the Graham Foundation. He has authored chapters of professional handbooks on Illinois land use and historic preservation law, and he is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and other business and economic associations. Mr. Jahns is a graduate of Villanova University and The University of Chicago Law School; he was also the Richard King Mellon Fellow in The University of Chicago's Center For Urban Studies.
