Corporate Sponsorship

An opportunity to change lives

In cities large and small, The Trust for Public Land brings together civic leaders, businesses, neighbors, and donors to create parks. Hundreds of communities and millions of people have benefited from our experience and specialized skills. But the need is great, and we are seeking new partners that share our commitment to conservation.

Four decades of experience, offices nationwide

We have offices and enthusiastic supporters around the country, a strong brand built upon 40 years of conserving land for people, an award-winning semiannual magazine, and an A+ charitable rating. If your corporation is seeking a nonprofit partner for cause-related marketing programs that result in tangible, lasting conservation achievements, please get in touch.

Examples of recent marketing partnerships include:

Banana Republic (Gap, Inc.) During a recent Earth Week, Banana Republic donated 1 percent of sales in stores nationwide—up to $100,000—to TPL to help create new parks and playgrounds in America's cities. The Earth Week initiative was the first step toward the brand's $1 million commitment to our Parks for People-Bay Area program.

Cox Enterprises: In 2008, The Trust for Public Land and Cox Enterprises created Cox Conserves Heroes, a national conservation awards program to honor ordinary people doing extraordinary things in the name of conservation. By recognizing these unsung heroes, we hope to inspire and support more neighborhood conservation efforts.

Half Price Books: For Earth Day 2010, Half Price Books asked customers to change their travel habits - carpool, ride a bike or use public transit -  for at least one day that month. For each pledge, Half Price Books donated $1 to our national Parks for People initiative.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants: For every night's stay, Kimpton donates $10 to TPL's work in cities and communities across the country. Guests also receive a 15 percent discount off the best available room rate for that day and location when using the TPL rate.

PlayCore: A leader in providing dynamic play and recreation opportunities, PlayCore sponsored our 2010 City Park Facts report, a resource to help cities better define programs, research, and advocacy in their local city parks.
