“When the town of Hanover and Trust for Public Land teamed up to preserve the Hudson Farm project, we knew we were in, having enjoyed so much time on the property. Recently, another project was completed between the town and TPL that secured a nearby parcel that would extend this area’s wildlife corridor and establish additional public trails. The town also carved out a piece of land to build some affordable housing. This project reflected our personal values of both environmental protection and housing equity as well as creating a space for people to enjoy the outdoors which as a healthcare provider I feel is essential for wellbeing. We applaud TPL for seeking out projects to give this opportunity to people who live in both rural areas like ourselves or in larger towns and cities. Everyone should have the chance to get outside and enjoy the natural world around them.”
