Connie Clark has spent many years involved in community volunteer work in a number of capacities. She is currently president of Friends of the Oregon Symphony and member of the Symphony Board. The Symphony Friends raise funds and promotes awareness of the Symphony's concerts and music education activities across the state. Connie is a past member of the board of Friends of Tryon Creek State Park, which was created thanks to a sustained effort spearheaded by the Friends of Tryon Creek. The Tryon Creek Friends provide community education and has been instrumental in building the park's trails, the Nature Center and in purchasing land to expand the natural area. Also vital to the Tryon Creek Friends are the programs and events they provide to educate and enrich the lives of park visitors.
