Can you believe it’s only been a year since the opening of The 606?

Northeast Denver is getting a new open-space area and outdoor education center after the city and its partners broke ground Thursday on the Montbello Open Space Park and Environmental Learning Center for Kids. 

If you live in Minneapolis, there’s a 95 percent chance you live within a 10-minute walk to a park. That bragging right, plus a few others, make Minneapolis’s parks system the best of the 100 biggest cities in the country, beating out its next-door neighbor, St. Paul, for the top spot.

This past Saturday, elected officials joined with the nonprofit organization From Lot to Spot to celebrate the grand opening of Rudolph Park in the City of Lawndale.

Despite their reputation for Midwestern politeness, residents of St. Paul and Minneapolis are locked in an intense rivalry—and it's not a fight for the best sports teams, hippest concert venues, or tastiest restaurants. It's about parks.

A $100,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts has just been awarded to Bozeman’s newest park, The Trust for Public Land announced today.

Off-leash dog parks led the pack in new urban parks, growing by 4 percent in 2015 and 89 percent since 2007, according to The Trust for Public Land’s most recent data on the nation’s 100 biggest city park systems across the country.
