Carl J. Beck

Carl J. Beck is a founding principal and owner of Hyman Beck & Company, Inc., a commodity trading advisor established in 1991, engaged in the business of providing trading advisory services with respect to futures, forward, and options contracts in agricultural items, energy products, financial instruments and indices, foreign currencies, and metals. Prior to forming HB & Co., Mr. Beck served as Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager for Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc., and was also a Vice President and founding principal of Dean Witter Futures & Currency Management, Inc. Prior to joining Dean Witter, Mr. Beck was employed by J. Aron & Co., the commodity trading division of Goldman Sachs & Co.

Mr. Beck served on various Boards and Committees including as a Director of the New York Board of Trade and the Coffee, Sugar, and Cocoa Exchange, Inc. Mr. Beck was Chairman of the New York Board of Trade's Audit Committee and continues to serve on the Business Conduct Committee. Mr. Beck has served as President of 299 Henry Corp. and as Trustee of The Racquets Club of Short Hills. Mr. Beck serves on the Board of Mantoloking Yacht Club and is an active member of Amwell Valley Conservancy, Inc.

Mr. Beck was graduated magna cum laude from Fordham University with a B.A. degree in Economics and Philosophy and earned an M.B.A. degree in Finance from New York University.
