Mark Billings, Chair of the New Hampshire Advisory Board, currently works as the Chief Strategist for Hammer Asset Management LLC, a registered investment advisory with $500 million in assets under management. Prior to working at Hammer Asset, he was the Director of Marketing and Product Development at First Quadrant LLC from 2001-2007. During that time he was responsible for raising over $4 billion in assets under management. He also worked as the Managing Director for Deutsche Bank from 1997-199 where he built and managed the bank's global equity derivatives business on the west coast. While he spent the early parts of his career at Walsh-Greenwood & Co. and Morgan Stanley & Co., Mark begin his at Merrill-Lynch & Co. as a retail broker. He established Merrill's Institutional Equity Derivatives Division, and eventually became the Senior Vice President. He was also a founding member of the Los Angeles Options and Future Society and board member of the National Options and Futures Society.
Mark graduated in 1974 from Babson College in Wellesley, MA with a BS in Business Administration and was an avid student of history and economic cycles. He is a pioneer in derivative application in investment management and risk management and a frequent speaker at business schools as well as economic development organizations. He currently serves as the Chairman of Meredith Conservation Commission; member of the Meredith Energy Committee; board member, Inter-Lakes School Board; Treasurer, Town of Meredith; and Vice-Chairman, Meredith Capital Investment Program Committee.
He is married almost 43 years to wife Martha; raised three sons now off on their own and enjoys outdoor activities across all four seasons.
