William Evarts Jr., is a retired partner in the New York law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, and formerly a retired partner of Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts. He currently serves on the boards of the United Hospital Fund, The Clark Foundation, Scenic Hudson, Inc., Scenic Hudson Land Trust, and the Hudson Highlands Land Trust. He has served as a director and the Secretary of the National Audubon Society and as a director of the New York State Board of The Nature Conservancy. He was also formerly Chairman and is now Consulting Member of The New York Community Trust.
