Gregory F. Cushman was publisher and president of Western Communications, Inc. for 18 years. Western Communications, Inc. is a family-owned company based in Bend, Oregon that owns newspapers in Baker City, La Grande, Brookings, Redmond and Hermiston, Oregon and in northern California. As longtime Central Oregon residents, Greg and his wife, Peggy Chandler Cushman, are known for their numerous community activities.
