Dolores Orfanakis is a developmental pediatrician who has lived in Oregon with her husband Nick and two children for 36 years.  She grew up on a ranch in Wyoming and spent most of her career at Emanuel Children's Hospital developing programs to enhance the care of children and families in the Portland community. She has a special interest in the impact of nature on the developing neurological system of children and the mental and physical health of adults.  Previously, Dolores has been a board member for OMSI, Three Rivers Land Conservancy, Christie School, Oregon Episcopal School, and the Oregon Early Hearing Detection and Intervention program.  She is also Master Gardener; and in her free time she enjoys cycling with her husband in the US, Canada and Europe but particularly throughout Oregon.  Dolores is professionally and personally committed to the mission of the Trust for Public Land.
