Jamie is a member of both TPL’s National and emeritus member of The Trust for Public Land’s National Board of Directors. He is Associate Vice President for Equal Opportunity at Harvard University. Previously, he served as the interim executive of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society and was a partner at the Boston law firm of Choate, Hall and Stewart. Jamie served for six years as Secretary of Environmental Affairs in the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs and was chairman of the Board of the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority during the agency’s first four years of existence. He is active on the boards of numerous organizations, including the Museum of Afro-American History, The New England Aquarium, the Union of Concerned Scientists, Bryant College, and the Environmental Diversity Forum (chairman and co-founder), Cambridge College, Alternatives for Community and Environment (ACE), and the Massachusetts Environmental Trust.
