William M. Tam

William M. Tam is the Deputy Director, Hawaii Commission on Water Resource Management and Department of Land and Natural Resources. He was Of Counsel at Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing and prior to that a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Hawaii. He has focused on water, natural resources, land use, environmental law, and Hawaiian land law for more than 35 years. Bill is the co-author of Hawai'i's Water Code and was an adjunct professor at the University of Hawaii Law School. He is a founding member and Chairperson of the Marimed Foundation and serves on the Polynesian Voyaging Society Board. Bill lives in Kaneohe.
