Gregg Takara

Gregg Takara was born in Honolulu and currently spends his time both on Kauai and Oahu. Gregg is a Vice President and Estate Planning Consultant with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and is based in the Lihue branch of the firm. He is part of one of the largest groups within Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and the group was ranked as the top financial team in the State for 2009 by Barron's magazine. As the team's estate planning consultant, he focuses his efforts in educating non profit clients and its donors in structuring planned giving through estate planning. Gregg is also an officer for the Worldwide Unchinanchu Business Group, an organization which fosters cultural and business relationships for Okinawan communities worldwide. The group also sponsors scholarships for visiting fellows at Honolulu's East-West Center. Gregg is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. In his spare time, Gregg enjoys fishing and hiking on the beautiful island of Kauai and enjoying his children's involvement in youth sports on Oahu.
