Carol Wilcox, life long Hawaii resident, is an author and community activist with long time and ongoing planning and preservation efforts, especially in Hanalei.

Carol has authored and/or compiled: The Kauai Album; The Kauai Papers; The Hawaii Stream Assessment; Sugar Water: Hawaii's Plantations Ditches; and He Mele Aloha: a Hawaiian Songbook.

Carol is currently involved in Malama Maunalua, in east Honolulu.  She sees a strong connection between The Trust for Public Land's work to conserve land and Malama Maunalua' s work to conserve marine resources.
