Alan S. Neely

Mr. Neely retired in 2005 as a Senior Client Partner in Korn/Ferry International’s Atlanta office and Global Leader of the firm’s Communications and Convergence sector.  He was also a member of the firm’s Board Services, Not-for-Profit, and Financial Officers Practices.  Previously, he managed the Southern Region, and the North American Advanced Technology Practice.

He began with the firm in 1978, and prior to joining Korn/Ferry,  Mr. Neely was Vice President of Corporate Lending at the First National Bank of Atlanta (now Wells Fargo), where he managed banking relationships in the Southeast and Midwest.  Previously, he managed recruiting for the bank.

Mr. Neely received an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated in 1997 from Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.  In 2017, he received a Masters in English Literature at Georgia State University.  His military service included 25 years in the Naval Reserve (three years active service, Vietnam Veteran) where he rose to the rank of Captain and held a Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance.

Mr. Neely has served and continues to serve on various boards across numerous sectors, including education, church, neighborhood, museum, environmental, and sports.  Mr. Neely and his wife, Butchie reside in Candler Park.  They have three grown children, all living in Atlanta.
