John Padden, Los Angeles, CA, attended both Harvard High and Loyola High School. Graduating from U. C. Berkeley in 1986 with B.A. in Psychology, he also was a member of the SAE Fraternity and played on the CAL Men's Volleyball team. Over the past 15 years, John has worked in the financial services industry and currently represents the investment firm, MezzCapital, working with high net worth individuals, business owners and wealthy families. Most recently. John worked at Bank of New York Mellon Corporation within the Wealth Management Group with a focus on estate planning, investment management, tax and charitable giving strategies for his clients. John sits on two other boards - C5 Youth Foundation, formerly Camp Coca-Cola, and The Beach Club, a private club located in Santa Monica.
John and his wife, Lori, met locally in West L.A. through mutual friends and currently live in Pacific Palisades with their three children, Eve (15), Eliza (12) and John "Kai" (9). Both Eve and Eliza attend Marlborough School with Kai at Palisades Elementary.
John has spent much time traveling and has visited many parts of Europe. Most recently, he traveled to the Middle East visiting the UAE and Dubai for both business and pleasure. The Paddens travel to the North Shore of Kauai, Northern Idaho, San Francisco, Rincon (Santa Barbara) and Sun Valley to visit with family, for holidays and for family vacations. John enjoys playing golf at the L.A.C.C. but also spends his time skiing, running and playing beach volleyball.
