John Catchings, San Francisco, CA, is a three-time Emmy Award recipient and former broadcast executive. He founded Catchings and associates, a television and video production company, in 2001. Catchings has more than thirty years of experience in news, programming and production.
Prior to 2001 he was Director of Station Operations and Director of Local Programming and Production at CBS5, San Francisco. Catchings joined ABC in 1972 and spent 14 years at ABC7, San Francisco where he was Executive Producer of News and Sports. Before ABC he was with RKO Radio's KFRC AM/FM for seven years.
Catchings serves on the Board of Governors of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences - San Francisco, the Board of Directors of the Northern California Radio-Television News Directors Association, the Board of Media Bridges Incorporated, and the California Advisory Board of The Trust for Public Land.
